You can let your guests know that you are changing from your previous wedding day plans to an elopement by sending out a simple card like this:

“Change of plans — In light of current world events we have are eloping! We appreciate your love and support for us as we begin our journey together. we will be planning a party to celebrate in the future. Thought it was brilliant and would tie in great to a post in letting people know your change of plans and the benefits to having a small and beautiful elopement wedding and then you can always have the big party later without the stress or spend.”
